Job Description

A LEVICK General Manager will assume operational responsibility for operations in the New York market. This includes but is not limited to financial performance, recruitment and retention of key talent, development of the company’s local resources and capabilities, client service, business development and external marketing/reputation management. The goal of this role is to build and develop the LEVICK brand, operation and intellectual capital and its relevance to public engagement and communications, and to interact with stakeholder groups to create democratic and decentralized thought leadership. Basic Qualifications

The General Manager must have at least 15 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.

S/he will have top-level managerial skills with P&L and operational management experience in agency business. This position will assume operational responsibility for a designated group, unit or office. S/he will have experience in developing and introducing new tools and growing new business with a record of increasing revenue from key clients, and a solid record of low client turnover.

S/he will be able to attract, grow and retain key talent across the practice. S/he will have exemplary leadership and communication skills and motivational techniques, as well as experience and success in creating a collaborative and respectful environment. S/he will be able to clearly articulate LEVICK’s intellectual property and its relevance to public engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with journalists, think tanks, and advocacy organizations.  Account Supervisors at LEVICK demonstrate the confidence to convey strong messages on behalf of clients by securing stories that both establish support and inspire action.  Account Supervisors fully understand the client's business model, goals, opportunities, and measures for success to accurately execute a strategic plan – which at times can also involve refocusing the media and/or public narrative. The LEVICK Digital Strategist will work with a robust team of digital professionals with experience across web, analytics, social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and advertising to support a variety of clients including brands, corporations, trade associations, and foreign governments. The ideal candidate will have experience in several areas such as web, social media, SEO, SEM, digital advertising, email marketing, or online advocacy. Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills are a must. The Digital Strategist will report to the Director of Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between specialists in digital services and other practice areas including public affairs, litigation, crisis, government affairs, and business intelligence.
  • Participate in brainstorms and help identify and develop digital solutions for accounts across the firm.
  • Develop proposal language and appropriate budgets for digital items to help maximize profits for digital engagements.
  • Understand specifics of digital deliverables and can communicate how they advance campaign goals to both internal teams and clients.
  • Develop presentation decks and client reports based on information provided by specialists.

Job Description

LEVICK, a global communications firm, is seeking a Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant to join their financial department. The Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant will be responsible for critical financial and cost control analyses for the company. They should be competent in analyzing a variety of cash, tax and accrual based financial records, with a multi-faceted view toward improving company profitability, developing client/project pricing and billing models, assisting with deal structures for target acquisitions and strategic hires, and identifying areas where cost savings can be achieved through improved efficiencies.  Candidates should be customer centric and be able to balance the demands of a rapidly growing, complex entrepreneurial environment where ingenuity, rather than precedent, drives how things should be done. This position will work closely with LEVICK’s Controller and LEVICK’s COO/CFO.

Ideal candidates should have a strong attention to detail with well-developed critical thinking and problem solving skills. They should have a minimum of 5 year’s experience in financial and cost analyst positions in a professional services environment. Candidates with excellent knowledge in the areas of financial analysis, manipulating large databases, report writing in Sequel a plus, and a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance. This individual should have excellent communications skills and the ability to collaborate firm-wide across multiple disciplinary practices.  

Accountant Responsibilities
  • Prepare annual third party agency reports (O’Dwyers, PRWeek, SGP, etc.)
  • Analyze industry metrics for application to LEVICK financials and assist COO/ CFO in establishing performance targets to enhance the company’s profitability & overall financial health.
  • Assist the Controller with recommendations for and implementation of system and reporting improvements.
  • Partner with key internal customers (i.e. operations and practice staff) to ensure accurate and meaningful reports and analytics are available in support of their business interests.
  • Develop, accumulate and apply overhead costs to profit centers/practice areas as required by generally accepted accounting principle.
 Financial Analysis Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate the company’s operating expenses to identify areas where savings can be achieved. Work with practice and accounting personnel to effect change once approved by the COO/CFO.
  • Analyze a variety of cash, tax, and accrual based financial records and statements to help determine client/project pricing models and acquisition deal structures for target companies and improve the company’s profit margin by identifying areas where cost savings can be achieved and then assisting with change implementation.
  • Calculate breakeven points by practice areas, by client and by project to aid in improving profitability.
  • Report on margins by practice areas, by client, and by project as well as identification of areas for improvement.
  • Report on periodic financial statement variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
  • Analyze capital budgeting requests to determine most cost effective approach toward procurement.
Requirements 
  • 5+ years of experience in financial and cost analysis 
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance is required, MBA preferred 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in data mining and modeling
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking capability
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

The LEVICK Digital Marketing Specialist will work with a robust team of digital professionals with experience across web, analytics, social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and advertising to support a variety of clients including brands, corporations, trade associations, and foreign governments. The ideal candidate will have experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns, email marketing, and paid media strategies. Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills are a must. The Digital Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Digital Strategy. 

Responsibilities
  • Work with internal teams to help identify opportunities for search engine marketing campaigns, developing budgets/bids for PPC campaigns and performs competitor research (using tools like SEMRush and Moz) for clients and prospects.
  • Uploads, monitors and reports on content marketing (Outbrain/ Taboola) campaigns.
  • Work directly with online media buyers to execute targeted banner ad campaigns providing client insights, targeting information and key messages. Track campaign performance and provide ongoing analysis.
  • Lead the development of messaging and creative (ad content) for online advertising campaigns.
  • Understands metrics including CTR, CPC, impressions, etc. related to digital advertising campaigns and can communicate them to internal teams and clients.
  • Tests campaigns across various email clients and devices (iPhone/Android/Internet Explorer).
  • Create, schedule and send email blasts. Draft email content and proofread for clarity, grammar and spelling.
  • Track and draft written reports on results of campaigns, including email, banner advertising and SEM with recommendations to inform future campaigns.
  • Development of marketing recommendations for both current clients and prospects.
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years experience in digital marketing and is familiar with search and display advertising, content marketing, online media buying and email marketing campaigns for clients or organizations.
  • Deep experience with Google Adwords and has run pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns for clients and/or organizations.
  • Familiar with banner advertising and targeting, experience working with media buyers and knowledge of standard ad display sizes.
  • Familiarity with a variety of email marketing tools like MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, NationBuilder and Constant Contact.
  • A track record in generating leads or supporters via email campaigns, building and segmenting email subscriber lists.
  • Some HTML and CSS knowledge for customizing email templates.
  • Experience with online advocacy tools, such as Phone2Action and Blue State Digital (BSD) a plus.

  • Upload content to CMS, and understands some HTML and CSS.

  • Develops information architecture (IA), taxonomy and sitemaps for website projects.
  • Manage domain and web hosting logistics, including securing and transferring domains, and migrating sites to new servers.
  • Works directly with website designers and developers for strategic execution of website projects.
  • Performs QA oversight for developers on website builds, ensuring that the site works across browsers and devices, and appears in search engine results.
  • Develops website recommendations for both current clients and prospects.

They are expected to actively participate in group discussions and the digital engagement efforts of clients in all of the firm’s practice groups. They demonstrate interest in communications and an understanding of basic media relations tactics. The ideal candidate will have experience pitching reporters, conducting media and internet research, implementing social media tactics, and tracking and analyzing web and social analytics as part of a larger digital and traditional campaign strategy. In addition, Fellows will be expected to adhere to tight deadlines.
