Mid-level PR Professional

LEVICK is currently seeking a mid-level Public Relations Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least five years of experience in corporate communications, crisis, and/or public affairs sectors. A successful candidate will thrive under pressure and understand and meet client needs. Excellent media relations and writing skills are a must, as is a need for attention to detail.

Requirements 
  • 5+ years of communications experience
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience writing across different formats – blogs, op-eds, press releases, web content, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects at once in a high-stakes environment
Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day client relationships and the associated workflow
  • Write public relations and public affairs materials
  • Collaborate with team members to create strategies and tactics for clients
  • Draft responses to RFPs or other pitch proposals
  • Produce quality written work in a short amount of time with few errors
  • Manage client projects/programs with minimal supervision from the SVPoR
  • Assist the SVPoR in developing overall client public relations goals and strategies
  • Pitch media and respond to media inquiries, cultivate relationships with journalists

Vice President - Financial Communications

Vice President - Financial Communications

LEVICK is looking for an experienced and spirited financial communications/corporate communications professional. The perfect candidate will have extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, capital markets, and the economy. This candidate will be deeply involved in client accounts, at the C-suite and Board level, play a major role in ensuring our clients receive outstanding service, and new business.

 

Requirements 
  • 10-12 years of experience in the financial services industry, the sector’s business models and regulatory environment
  • PR agency experience is preferred but not required
  • Sophisticated executive presence and the ability to be a trusted communications advisor to C-suite executives
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain solid relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients
  • Well versed in all forms of social, digital, and integrated marketing
  • Experience in working on regulatory actions, shareholder activism, transactions, restructurings and bankruptcies, and corporate governance and proxy matters
  • Proven ability to work with clients in all industries on both long-term communications assignments and on special situations
Responsibilities:
  • Manage client teams, and lead new business development.
  • Develop and execute first-class communications programs.
  • Build awareness of LEVICK in the DC marketplace and across the country through referral sources including attorneys, investment bankers, board members etc.
  • Participate in new business presentations and write strategic proposals for potential clients that are specific to the client’s issue(s) and needs.
  • Proficient at reading a long, complicated document and reducing its major points to a simpler, cogent narrative.
  • Understand the importance of stretch budget goals and try to grow existing client business.
  • Can easily step in to the Senior Vice President’s role in his/her absence.

Vice President - Litigation

LEVICK’s Washington, DC office has an opening for an experienced and spirited litigation communications professional. An ideal candidate will be spirited and experienced professional with at least 10 years of experience in legal communications and client account management. This candidate will be deeply involved in client accounts and play a major role in ensuring our clients receive outstanding service. 

 

 

Requirements 
  • 10-12 years of experience
  • Agency experience is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain solid relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Well versed in all forms of social, digital, and integrated marketing
  • Proven ability to work with clients in all industries on both long-term communications assignments and on special situations
Responsibilities:
  • Participates in new business presentations and writes strategic proposals for potential clients that are unique to the client’s issue(s) and needs.
  • Is able to quickly and effectively review client deliverables, make worthwhile edits, and articulate the benefit to the client.
  • Takes “first pen” on specific, customized client deliverables at client request, or if acting as direct LEVICK contact with legal representation (i.e. – employs personal legal knowledge in direct service of client-facing products).
  • Coordinates all legal team review of LEVICK editorial products.
  • Instructs junior staff on legal writing style and subject prioritizing based on legal preference.
  • Articulately speaks to the media in person and over the phone about the client’s issue(s), message point(s), and digital initiatives.
  • Is able to effectively pitch a story or idea.
  • Takes the time to understand the media landscape in a particular trade, location, or publication, especially from a digital perspective.
  • Works to instruct journalists on legal language, process and nuance, and/or directs journalists to independent, verifiable and accurate third-party information on the law, as it applies to a specific client issue.
  • Understands the importance of stretch budget goals and tries to grow existing client business.
  • Can easily and flawlessly step in to the Senior Vice President’s role in his or her absence.
  • Acts as the chief coordinator in specific regard to litigation-related engagements.
  • Is the client lead and primary contact point for the client.
