A LEVICK General Manager will assume operational responsibility for operations in the New York market. This includes but is not limited to financial performance, recruitment and retention of key talent, development of the company’s local resources and capabilities, client service, business development and external marketing/reputation management. The goal of this role is to build and develop the LEVICK brand, operation and intellectual capital and its relevance to public engagement and communications, and to interact with stakeholder groups to create democratic and decentralized thought leadership. S/he will able to quickly gain a deep understanding of LEVICK's various processes/approaches.

Basic Qualifications

The General Manager must have at least 15 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.

S/he will have top-level managerial skills with P&L and operational management experience in agency business. This position will assume operational responsibility for a designated group, unit or office. S/he will have experience in developing and introducing new tools and growing new business with a record of increasing revenue from key clients, and a solid record of low client turnover.

S/he will be able to attract, grow and retain key talent across the practice. S/he will have exemplary leadership and communication skills and motivational techniques, as well as experience and success in creating a collaborative and respectful environment. S/he will be able to clearly articulate LEVICK’s intellectual property and its relevance to public engagement. This position requires a strategic leader and thinker who is well connected within the industry. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. An advanced degree is a plus but not mandatory.

Excellent written and oral communications skills, keen attention to detail, strong critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential. The Digital Fellow should have experience implementing social media tactics as part of a larger digital campaign strategy. In addition, Digital Fellows will be expected to adhere to tight deadlines.

Requirements 
  • Have a demonstrated interest in digital media and communications
  • B.A. in Communications or Marketing preferred
Interpersonal Skills
  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is the daily norm
  • Must be able to transition easily from working as a team player to working independently
  • Must be someone who strives for excellence, with a desire to grow and learn from the experience
Responsibilities
  • Manage clients’ social media platforms
  • Produce social media and Google Analytics reports
  • Monitor SEM campaigns
  • Compile daily traditional and digital media reports to monitor clients’ influence online
  • Occasionally pitch reporters and conduct research
  • Participate in creative brainstorms
  • Provide administrative support to your team including but not limited to:
    • Reception desk coverage
    • Sorting and distribution of mail
    • Shipping packages/postage
    • Checking fax machines, copiers, office supplies, and general office organization
    • Setting up catering for meetings and events; cleaning up afterwards
    • Running office errands
