Sesame Street, Pakistan, and the Ubiquity of Anti-corruption Enforcement


Today on Forbes.com, Richard Levick examines how corruption concerns have caused U.S. funding sources to pull out of a Pakistani version of Sesame Street, produced in collaboration with the Sesame Workshop that created the children’s TV classic. It’s a prime example of how anti-corruption enforcement is now ubiquitous, but the saddest part is the extent to which Pakistani children may now be deprived of an invaluable and sorely needed educational resource.
